National Services

As one of the only organizations that offers the doula model of care to people having abortions, we have created materials and trainings to educate and engage other organizations and individuals interested in providing this unique support service. In an effort to extend our model of care to doulas and pregnant people around the country, we have 2 national programs.

01We train clinics, activists and organizations around the country on the doula model of care in settings that provide abortion procedures and medical induction.

02To facilitate the growth and sustainability of like-minded doula organizations around the country, we have created the Training and Networking Circle. The Circle offers technical assistance, resource sharing, and hands-on training and is a vehicle for doula organizations to connect to each other.

Our Mission

The Doula Project is an NYC-based organization that provides free compassionate care and emotional, physical, and informational support to people across the spectrum of pregnancy.

Upcoming Event

The Doula Project will be presenting at the 2010 From Abortion Rights to Social Justice Conference at Hampshire College. Come hang out with us, April 9-11: http://clpp.hampshire.edu/projects/conference/2010/overview
